Title: Traps being set in the Peak District
Post by: jontea on 07:03:57, 13/07/19

I'm not a big fan of off-road cyclist when out on the hills walking, but we have some frighteningly worrying people out there.  :-\

Peak District cycle paths sabotaged with 'dangerous' traps https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-48961360 (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-48961360)

Its beyond belief that certain individuals can set possibly life threatening traps for mostly cyclists, in very remote areas.
There was an instance of this happening at the Plas Y Brenin forest above Dolgellau a few years ago.

Due to their very remote locations, is virtually guaranteed the culprits will never be caught red handed, but even if they were, no punishment would be severe enough for them.
