I thought I'd go off piste and look at a few mineshafts around the White Peak area yesterday - Some of the Views were stunning.

Taken from Barton Fell overlooking Ullswater in the Lake District (NY4654521312) whilst walking from Howtown to Pooley Bridge via Loadpot Hill and Arthur's Pike.

Wondered how your walk went. Nice photo, assuming you used a drone to do that?

Cheers Guys.  :)

Rob, It was a good walk but bitterly cold on the tops particularly with the wind.
The photo was taken with a Sony RX100. It's a composite of 4 shots stitched together in Lightroom as a panorama. It can take panoramas internally but they're stored as JPGs and don't come out as well IMO.

You must be really tall or it's the way you edited it, those fence posts look well below the camera and so do the sheep!

Are you viewing it on a mobile device? Just looking at it on my mobile and it looks very distorted there.

Yes but I opened it in Flickr and turned my phone sideways, doesn't look like you were as high up as it does in the forum but still looks high.

No photos today that stood out to me but of a not so great bunch this one was my favourite.

Taken from NY3370901666, a few hundred metres from the summit of Black Crag.

Our lunchtime accommodation today in a picturesque bothy.
Touching from a distance, further all the time.

Looks like a little cottage. Very nice.

It’s the Lluest Cwm Bach bothy Rob, it actually was a cottage until 1952 and was a roofless ruin when it was refurbished in 2013.
