On 2nd September me and Lynne set off on a walk to Conistone from our lovely B&B, Warren House near Hawkswick. The weather was overcast but quite humid. I had never walked in this area before and I was looking forward to taking in some of The Dales Way which we would pick up from the quaint village of Kettlewell. Here are a few pics and Trip Report of the day:
Warren House, our B&B

The path to Hawkswick Bridge.

Lamb chop anyone?

Knipe Scar in the distance.

Heading to Hawkswick.

Quaint Kettlewell.

Me and Lynne after the ascent from Kettlewell and some of The Dales Way on Highgate Leys Lane where we ate our lunch.

The impressive sight of Kilnsey Crag.

From here we headed back along the road to take the lane towards Arncliffe back to our B&B. The walk clocked in at 9.3 miles and it turned into a fine and sunny day. An excellent walk with lovely views. Hope you enjoyed the Trip Report.

Thanks mate and B&B was only £69 each for 2 nights which was very good considering where it was and how 'posh' it was  ;)

That was worth persevering with Steve O0

It's a lovely peaceful area and the meadows near there are superb when in flower. I really enjoyed walking the Dales way - very easy going. O0

Nice report and photos, Steve.

And I second what RP says about the Dales Way - a good trip, which your pics brought back memories of. It's been a while since I was up that way - must sort something out!
