Hello from Berkshire

Hi all,
I have been a avid walker for about 30 years. Try and do one walk a week of about 7 to 12 miles and a few long distance paths in the year.
I also put together a online magazine covering the walks I do, with maps directions, photos and videos.

Welcome from Portsmouth. I used to live in Newbury, Berkshire, before the bypass!

I live in Birchhill beside Swinley Forest, so Newbury is about 12 miles away

Welcome from Twickenham in SW London. I would be interested to see your on-line magazine. Are you able to post the URL (in your signature space, perhaps?)
Thanks

If you go to 'issuu.com' and type in best foot forward in the search you will find them.
Besides my magazine there are quite a few other ones on walking.

Thanks for the link. I've had a quick look at all 4 issues. Very interesting and impressive
and a lot of work
! Do you do it all yourself (writing, photos, layout etc.)? I know some of the walks in the Surrey/Berkshire area but there are several others that I'm planning t try.
Cheers

At the moment it is all my own work. Except for one photo on the ridgeway in the last magazine which I got from a photo sharing site as i didn't have time to go take any myself. I am hoping that others may send articles, walks and so on that i can add.
But I am still learning and hopefully each issue is getting better. The articles are from personal experience or from information passed to me. Such as the two people being left behind by a walking group happened to a friend of mine.

Like the look of the mags, and prefer the layout to the rolling pages of a blog. I’ll have a proper read later. A labour of love, Nice one.
I’m in caversham, Reading, so know plenty of walks round the south too.
