I have enjoyed the forum for a while and thought I should join.
I am from (a flat part) of west lancashire.We like to get up to Buxton and similar topographys with our caravan, when lockdown allows.

Welcome from over the border. Nothing wrong with walking on the "flatlands" I speak as someone who was brought up in Suffolk. Having said that, there are some nice walks around Buxton. Spent many a day walking in the Goyt Valley and the Monsal Trail.

As noted.  The Goyt Valley ,                                Is linked to the  Midshires Way also.


The Dane Valley Way Starts in the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton

Welcome from Cornwall. :)  Ridden through Ormskirk more times than I could ever remember in my youth. I used to stop the container lorries at the pelican crossing on Aughton Brow and then follow them all the way down to Seaforth docks on my push bike.  My eldest sister still lives opposite the Church on Long lane.
