I have enjoyed the forum for a while and thought I should join.
I am from (a flat part) of west lancashire.We like to get up to Buxton and similar topographys with our caravan, when lockdown allows.

Welcome from over the border. Nothing wrong with walking on the "flatlands" I speak as someone who was brought up in Suffolk. Having said that, there are some nice walks around Buxton. Spent many a day walking in the Goyt Valley and the Monsal Trail.

Buxton and the peaks , a great place to Start walks
As noted. The Goyt Valley , Is linked to the Midshires Way also.
The Dane Valley Way Starts in the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton

Hi from Manchester. Buxton and those areas are a great place to go walking. Good cafes at the start too...

Welcome from Cornwall.
Ridden through Ormskirk more times than I could ever remember in my youth. I used to stop the container lorries at the pelican crossing on Aughton Brow and then follow them all the way down to Seaforth docks on my push bike. My eldest sister still lives opposite the Church on Long lane.
