Garmin Gpsmap 64s Routes
« on: 13:08:27, 16/02/18 »
Good afternoon and apologies if I sound stupid, I am. I am looking at buying a Gpsmap 64s however I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for recognised walks I can download to the device. Does Garmin have a "community" site where people upload walks they have done or are there recommended third party sites offering the same?
Thanks in advance

There are loads; here are 3: gpsies.com, haroldstreet.org.uk, https://www.wikiloc.com/trails/outdoor/united-kingdom.

I have used Walking World (www.walkingworld.com) for a good number of years. Detailed route instructions and map, GPX file of the route, and walkers comments.  There is a small annual subscription but no limit to the amount of walks you can download. I have a Garmin Oregon 600 and no problems with downloading the GPX files

I have just subscribed to walkingworld and the walks are superb on the island, hopefully the ones in Brecon are just as good as I'm off there next month.

As a subscriber remember to post any helpful comments after the walk, good or bad, as they are a good source of real time information for others who may also be considering the same walk. Enjoy your walks.
