We'll keep you up to date Sarah.

The gap is definitely opening up, it must be more than 5km now.

That could be because Jayson has just been negotiating Padon Hill and John is on the forest tracks now?

That memory blasted back into my mind. My feet went all damp.

John seems to have been revitalised after his rest/sleep at Bellingham and steadily extending his lead.  I know that there is a long way to go but the navigation after Byrness isn't difficult so that shouldn't prove to be a problem in the dark.  By the way can someone have a word with them as I want to go to bed about 10.30 so I wouldn't mind if they could speed up a bit!

Just spotted that John is in Byrness already!

Looks like his tracker has gone haywire again. It did this earlier.

Can Jayson make a quick exit and try and chase John down?  Not sure that he walked there looking at his tracker at 14.19 he was still about 8k away! At 14.24 he was on the road before the hotel - hopefully the tracker has malfunctioned.

Very odd, the tracker was definitely moving before but slowly and now he has jumped and is timed in.

If the splits are to be believed he was an hour faster than John from Bellingham to Byrness

You would think that if he had retired "before" Byrness then he wouldn't be allowed to sign in!
