SPINE RACE 2019
« on: 09:12:37, 04/01/19 »
It is nearly that time of year when I spend hours looking at red dots barely moving on a map.

Looking at the competitors list it would appear that neither of last years winners, Pavel Paloncy and Carol Morgan, are competing this year.

Sorry that I will be missing the dots this year and the company on this site as I'll be sunning myself in Lanzarote!

Hoping to catch the guys and girls doing the spine somewhere(dont no yet) around dinner time on the sunday, would have gone to the start again but double booked sat night, argh. I'm bound to get into trouble at work thru dot watching on my phone, so addictive!! Hoping sussamb will take plenty of videos/pictures to show us mortals how amazing this experience is!! O0

I've got a really full on week at work, don't know how much chance I'll get to dot-watch during the day this year.
Yes, looking forward to posts from our inside reporter.

Sussamb - hope you enjoy being part of the safety team, and you don’t have too much to do!

Dot watching is going to prove difficult for me at work too this year - we have someone new starting in the office that week and I’m training them up  >:(

An idea only at this stage, I'm not arriving until Sunday evening so should join the team around Hawes.  After that it could be anything, route sweeping, providing support at road crossings, manning the various huts, responding to 'man down' requests etc

If you've not watched it before Richard then don't start, it is completely addictive.

Ridge is right, once you start watching you can’t stop  ;D
It’ll be the first thing you do when you wake up and the last thing you do before going to sleep (and be prepared for some late nights!)

Probably a solo night shift on top of Shunner in freezing rain and fog. ;)
