Thanks for the kind comments, everyone.
I enjoyed the read adalard. I know the area well, but I’ve never walked out of Peak Forest. It made for a challenging walk and excellent photos taken.
Thank you, that’s given me some inspiration to head that way soon
It's definitely worth considering, Jontea, it's pretty quiet on that side of the hills and we've found roadside parking in Peak Forest quite easily.
Brilliant adalard! Great photos too
Cheers, Sunnydale.
Lovely pics especially the wind-blown snow in the sunken lane. I would have hated to leave boot prints too.
I tried to keep to the edge of the bridleway and hopefully the wind covered my tracks after not too long. I think there was quite a pronounced thaw overnight though.
I hope you didn't hurt yourself in your tumble.
Cheers, April. No, I was fine - the snow made for a soft landing.
Love Cave Dale, lots of time spent there as a kid
It's a great spot - I would have loved it as a kid, plenty for the imagination playing there.
Cave Dale and the Winnats Pass are among my favourite spots in Derbyshire
Thanks, Dovegirl. Same here - whether walking or in the car, Winnats Pass never fails to impress, no matter how many times I've passed through it.
Love taking visiting friends or family there for the first time.
