Julian, I'm gonna contact Kent yeti and get him to reply to your post! You'll see why later! LOL

I just been contacted by Sunny.
To talk about Scarpa boots!
I've got three pairs of Scarpa Mantas, two older and one fairly new.
Both older pairs have been resoled and repaired in the past by LSR, (Lancashire Sports Repairs). With post etc that worked out at about £70 per pair. And I got back totally worn in boots that gave me as much use again as they did when they were new. No probs at all.
That was two or three years ago.
I think since then LSR have changed owners? (Others may know if this is actually the case).
Both those pairs have been back recently to LSR for the same treatment, (resole and repair).
Not good this time. One pair had been left with a sticky out bit of leather where the inside of the heel had been repaired. Got an immediate blister.
The other pair were much, much tighter than when I sent them. Got a bruised toe the first time I wore them. Am stretching them at present but they will need a sort of wearing in again before they are fit for long walks.
Thought long and hard about sending both pairs back to be re done. May still do that if I can't sort them myself very soon. But bothered at what may happen to them if I do! As well as all the aggro of packing them and the postage cost again.
In short my policy of keeping my Mantas going by resole and repair is under review at present.
On balance I think I will probably go the route of buying new. And spending more time trying on boots to get a pair of Mantas that fit really well, and limit the amount of time needed to wear them in.
