Wenslydale wandering
« on: 15:22:05, 21/06/16 »
So on Sunday I went walkies with another bod in Wensleydale..............photobucket is flatly refusing to rotate the "sideways" pics I took with my cameraphone..so here are some others

meadow cranesbill above

we huffed n puffed uphill, going past a racecourse (of course, what else?)
wood cranesbill

we took a westward path that took us up penhill, before coming down black scar area
dung fungi

a green veined white?

thyme

gooseberries

bloody cranesbill

after stopping at Nossil End quarry for lunch, we passed the ancient remains of a Knights Templar Preceptory at GR036887, again the photo is sideways and wont rotate! There were tons of bees here, bumblebee lane!

unknown flower

on to stony stoop lane and to the river Ure stepping stones

twas raining by now.............
tiny blue things are milkwort, a limestone specialist

Redmire force

tiny speedwell?

we followed the riverside path before heading south to Wanlass park and High Wanlass (farm) before taking Flats LAne back to West Witton. Sorry I have more landscape pics but they r all sideways!
On the drive home I got held up in a village for...wait for it...an alpaca/llama/vicuna that was on the loose, some women were trying to round it up! :o

A few more (lets see if google photo's works!)

Wood Cranesbill.

A very noisy dog.  Good job he couldn't get under the door.  Didn't stop him trying though.

Racecourse all the way up on the hill, Middleham High Moor gallops to be exact,

And I loved the cottongrass up on Penhill

A good walk - 10 miles n a bit extra for going the wrong way.  Shame about the rain once we'd got past the Knights Templar Preceptory.

Lovely photos Pleb, shame we can't see them all.

Dittzzy either something has gone wrong or it is very foggy in your pics.

Dittzzy, I have just found that if I am using my Chrome browser (which I normally use) I can see your picture fine.  However, if I switch to Internet Explorer I can't see it.  Not sure why this is though, as I am certainly no computer whizz.

Thanks DD.   I have a particular dislike of Google Photo's at the moment.    I'll keep working on it.
