Excellent write-up John with some cracking pics of a superb route  O0

It made me smile when I saw your selfie pic on St Sunday crag with Seat Sandal etc behind you (I took a selfie in exactly the same place).  A fantastic view from there.

Looks like you are ebbing your way to 214 John..... 125 done, on the downhill bit now  ;D

Cheers
Lee

Thanks for the great comments guys, just one question, do you think my blogs are too long?
Just for future reference   O0

It certainly is a fantastic view from there Lee, I don’t like taking selfies much to be honest, but I thought I’d put my face out there for the blog, maybe I should be photonut lol  ;D

I’m hoping to get there one day, obviously not as quickly as you did it Lee, but I’m just enjoying each one I do as the opportunity arises.

You certainly take enough pics  O0

Too many?  :-\

I don't think the blog was too long at all - it's nice to have something substantial to read that really gives a feel of your day's hiking, of both the landscape and your experiences.   O0

And I agree with April and Hillhiker1 on the photos too - the more the better in a trip report, as far as I'm concerned.  :)

Great report John, lovely photos  O0  it is a top walk.
Seat Sandle is a hidden gem, even when the other tops are busy it is almost always empty.

Patterdale YHA may have been an easier place to stay but Helvellyn does feel much more traditional.
