I'm actually really disappointed it's not colder - I've just invested in a load of decent winter gear (see previous posts!) and had hoped this weekend would be the perfect time to test it! (I live down South so don't get into the mountains often, but I'm tagging this trip on to seeing family.)
Oh well, really looking forward to my walk nonetheless: Based on the Yorkshire Three Peaks route we're starting in Horton in Ribblesdale, going up Pen-y-ghent, then down to Ribblehead, (skipping out Whernside,) up Ingleborough, then back down to Horton in Ribblesdale. A steady 15-miler to round off the year
If it's a good day out, I'll look to do the full YTP when I visit family in the summer (during the week... The weekend crowds on this route sound horrendous!).
