I'm in the Holiday Inn tonight, at Burnley. 22 miles done today. Legs aching a bit, two small blisters, think I'm getting a cold, apart from that, I'm fine.  ::)

I'm in Haworth Youth Hostel tonight, 16 miles done today. Feet still sore, leg muscles sore, but I'm ok. Tomorrow is another day.

I've got a sore toe this morning which is causing a bit of a worry. A blister on the top at the base of the nail. Smothered it in Germoline. Sunny morning, heading for the canal into Leeds.

Sounds like you need a bit of ‘zinc oxide tape’ to strap your feet up.

Hope the toes ease today  O0

Wouldn't Compeed be better? :-\
So many paths yet to walk, so little time left

As long as they stay stuck on  :)

I’ve had blisters made worse using Compeed plasters, partly folding back on themselves. I’m not a big fan of them.

I've never tried Compeed. My system seems to work they are gone in a day or two.

20 miles done today, from Haworth to Leeds, mainly along the canal. Running total 78, I mean walking total. Another Holiday Inn night, beggar the cost, my treat  ;D

Late checking in tonight, I've been looking for a bed for tomorrow night, not knowing where I'll be. I have some possibles, some phone numbers.

Today I walked 17 miles, I am in a B & B at Monk Fryston.

Having a rest day today. I cut the walk short, wasn't feeling too good, coughing, sneezing, snotty nose, and tired. After walking 15 miles on day 6, I made the decision to get a train back home. The trouble was I hadn't planned the route very well, and I found myself stuck between two rivers and no quick way to get to the station in Goole. I didn't fancy doing a massive detour. I knocked on someone's door to ask the best way to go. When the man heard my story he offered to give me a lift to the outskirts so I could walk to  the station. Very kind of him. I got the 4pm train, friend picked me up from Scunthorpe Station, and I was home for 5.30pm. I managed 110 miles in the six days. I haven't had a cold for years, so it was a bit annoying to get one now.

Blisters all gone, legs not aching.

Hi Ilona, what bad luck getting a cold. I think 110 miles in 6 days is pretty good going, I would certainly be proud of that, but doing 18ish miles a day you need to be in good health, so I can understand you cutting your adventure short.

I’m betting Stuart was equally impressed and was only too willing to help you out.
Inspiration can bring the best out in people.

I’m sure your added experience will be used in your next adventure, and I look forward to reading all about it as I have with this one.
Well done Ilona  O0
