Treyarnon Bay back to Newquay for me today, the reverse of my regular route.  12 miles along a VERY windy southwest coast path.  If id tied string around the dog i could have flown him like a kite!
I am slowly working my way up towards there.  Maybe later in the year as summer madness is now starting and I have to work more.

its a nice part of the swcp and im sure you'll enjoy it.  i used to walk Padstow to Newquay as my regular a couple of years ago, not upto the whole 25 miles in one go at the mo tho unfortunately.  I quite fancy Lands end to Lizard over a few days when the weather picks up.
one step then another then another then a bench - please?

Done that bit, apart from a couple of miles.
Mullion to Lizard Point is one of my favourites.

Kynance Cove is one of my favourite spots on the entire planet.  So many happy hours spent there diving off the various stacks and surfing the perfect A frame that forms as the Atlantic swells ricochet off the cliffs and rise into the corner of the beach from the Autumn storms.   O0

A real strange experience yesterday.
I parked my car in a deathly quiet Nant Peris main street, opposite the Vaynol Arms, and walked to the summit of Elidir Fawr.

Only three cars used the llanberis Pass in nearly half an hour, as i was looking through a pair of new binoculars at the surrounding scenery.

All car parks, and pullins from llanberis onwards are blocked off, with heavy stones, so its impossible to park your car anywhere.

With so few vehicles, and nobody in sight, apart from a farmer high up on the slopes of Y Garn.

It was an experience i will never forget.

On my way home, i used the A5 Capel Curig to Bettws Y Coed road, and until i reached Bettws, i only encountered six passing vehicles.

Come Monday, the staff at Cotswolds expect total mayhem, but throughout Friday, i was one of only five customers they had all day.

Having the whole of Snowdonia to myself, was a very rare treat indeed, and in hindsight, i think it was a once in a lifetime event

seem to remember it was fairly quick, only about 7 miles.
Two things I do clearly remember us that I walked into the setting sun. That is bad. And the pub I. Mullion had just finished serving food.
Have camped out at both Lizard Point and Poldhu Cove without bother in the past.

Sounds good to me!
I often used to hav ethe hills to myself when I walked up into the Carneddau from the east - one 17 miler up Pen Llithrig y Wrach I remember that the only person I met was a fisherman on Llyn Cowlyd. I remember this walk well as it was the first time that I had gone up onto the mountains on my own, against all the advice that had been drummed into me. How can you gain the necessary experience without going for it?

I really enjoyed the solitude Back O’ Skiddaw. It was good to walk in the fells and see nobody (until I reached Skiddaw summit).

Did a 5.6 mile walk around Lerwick today 660ft ascent, hoping to see some Killer whales that have been patrolling the East shores of Shetland recently hunting for seals.
I saw some seals, but no Whales today. See recent sightings in link.

I didn't meet anyone to chat with as it was threating rain, but was still surprised that I did the walk @ 4.38mph.
I am heading back to the hills and coast now that we are allowed to travel more than 5 miles, so will be doing little road walking and path walking for the rest of the summer "Hurrah!!
