The Skye Trail walked in August 2020
« on: 06:41:12, 30/10/20 »
Hello

After walking from Dover to Cape Wrath, while I was still in Scotland. I walked the Skye Trail with my wife and it's probably the best walk I've ever done. We've written about the walk if you wish to read it.

Excellent WW, great to have you back on line! O0
I think we all would have considered putting rocks in his bag Mrs WW, after all his extra practise.

Wonderful write up - the Skye Trail is on my list and it's moved up a few notches after reading your report - stunning scenery - thanks for posting O0

Wonderful trip report. The Trotternish ridge and the walk to Loch Coruisk look amazing.

Loved the TR.  Skye would be wonderful if not for the midges and the rain.  It's not called the Misty Isle for nothing!
I got memorably stuck on the Bad Step.  Luckily my walking companion was highly experienced at talking me off places where I was frozen with fear.  It's sobering to think that was nearly 50 years ago, but looking at those photos, I don't think you would get me near the place now!

Looks like a beautiful walk! Though that 'Bad Step' thingy looks like something I would give a pass (I'm afraid of heights). Although often these things look more scary from a distance than when you are actually on them :)

I've a fear of heights too, but when you're there it's not so bad because it just looks like you'll fall into water, you can't see the rocks you'll actually fall onto. The bad step is on the alternative route, so you don't need to go that way.

Thanks for your messages everyone.

That's not much better when you can't swim!  :o Glad there's an alternative route.
