The OP asked about power banks which aren’t manufactured in China.  Answer that instead of getting into YET ANOTHER off topic debate.  This is a walking forum.  Go elsewhere if you can’t accept that.

To be fair, the OP turned this thread political in post number 3.
On that note, I shall bow out of this discussion.

couldn't that be seen as unethical?

Look out someone might boycott both of you:)

Aye, no doubt intentionally to start a(nother) fight.  He's a troll.  However, a walking related topic on a walking related board should warrant a walking related answer and NOT steering the conversation to YET ANOTHER political, whinging, moaning flame war.

Anyway, I should also apologise for the thread hijack  :D

.... back on topic..... mixipixie wants recommendations for non-Chinese power banks....

So you have no qualms about lining the pockets of a repressive, totalitarian regime as long as their goods are cheap and(possibly)produced by slave labour
I'm sorry, but I don't see what that has to do with power banks.

Ouch! never quite realised how firm this forum could be.   O0

I take it Anker power packs are made in China then?  Happy with mine.

Even if you buy a non Chinese power pack, how will you know the origin of the components?  If it contains a microchip, a pound to a pinch it will Chinese these days.  For example, Duracell makes power packs and is an American company but see:
https://www.zauba.com/USA-import-duracell-data.html

"Made in" just means where they put it in the packet.  It is the same with the labelling of foodstuffs - British Made does not preclude the use of imported ingredients.

Tarptent now manufacture a lot of their tents in China - apparently the quality has improved.

It means made in , or produced in this world. I draw the line at buying produce from Venus . I will buy from Mars however . O0

Oh I just remembered , I have a Huawei phone with Avast antivirus on board. Not sure if Avast will stop Xi Jinping listening to my ramblings though .  :(
