That was a brill vid. Brings back memories O0

The Climbers Traverse & Slab Route is by far the best way on to Bowfell. Give great views of Bowfell Buttres :) :)

Years ago me and my mate did most of the wainwrights by setting off from barnsley at 11 30pm. Get to where we were walking around 3am to 4am. and set off walking soon as dawn was breaking. We saw some magnificent sunrises  O0

We used to do rounds. Our first was Mosdale. Great Gable. Kirk Fell. Pillar. Scoat Fell. Red Pike & Yewbarrow.

Slowing down now not as fit as I used to be  :( But still enjoying what I can  :)

Blimey Dave, that was well worth getting up early for mate. You must have felt on top of the world above all that cloud.

When I get was fit enough I'm up for one   O0

Reason why we started doing that time was because of commitments. We could only get up for one day which was flexible for both of us.

Our first walk in the lakes was Blencathra via Sharp Edge & Halls Fell Ridge. We got to Scales- around 9 30am and was back at the car for 12 30pm. We went to White Hores Inn. Sat there with a pint of Draught Guinness wondering what to do.  :-\ ;)

That's when we came up doing rounds. Besides Mosdale.  Here’s some we came up with. Coniston. Langdale. Ennerdale was the longest and hardest we did. There were others.

We walked the Wainwright way. Stop often and look round.  O0

Walks lasted on average 8 to 10 hrs. Loved every minute  :)

Amazing AJ!!  How lucky were you that day eh?  O0 O0

But where did I say Pike of Blisco then? :D   If you're refering to Pike of Stickle - that's what it said on my map  ::) ;D ;D

Mind you, I could still have got it wrong, I had to go back and read that bit of footage so many times because it came and went so fast  :o ;D

Thanks for sharing that wonderful experience with us, I hope I'll get that lucky one day O0
