North Lancashire
« on: 13:17:36, 06/08/07 »
Couldn't make it to the Lakes yesterday so it was just a gentle walk along the Lancashire Coastal Way from Conder Green (nr Lancaster) to Cocker Bridge. From there I did a bit of road walking to pick up the Lancaster Canal which I followed till the Glasson Dock branch which I followed back to the start.

Dist: 13.5 miles

I Saw a bit of the Lancaster canal a couple of years ago when i visited the RSBP reserve at Hest bank. only walked for about an hour. We had decided to visit Morecambe Bay and time was running out.

I'm not really a bird watcher. i like to see the different birds while i'm walking, but wouldn't go and sit somewhere just to watch them. i went with a friend, got bored and wondered off up the canal for a bit.

Of course i didn't escape the built up area, so it probably isn't the most beautiful section of the canal.
