Hi Forum,
Imagine for a moment that you are obliged to spend a week on a caravan park in Ayr.
Where would you find the best walking within a roughly 20 mile radius? Coastal, hills, forest/woodland - all would be considered!
Cheers,
Joe

Start the River Ayr Walk at Glenbuck, birth place of B. Shankly of Liverpool FC fame. Walk the two day walk back to the town
of Ayr following said river............great walk! Various ways of getting to the start...........

Thanks! That looks like a handsome walk from the photos on 'Walkhighlands'. Any suggestions for a halfway stopover?
(I suppose it could be done in one very long day? I might prefer to dawdle a bit and soak it up, though).

Check out the town of Mauchline...........the walk passes very close to there. Lots of connection with
Scotland's national bard, Robert Burns. Good pubs too!
