Following on from this tread
www.walkingf.....sg526881#new I went out with my new camera today for a walk from the house. The weather wasn't so good very overcast and dull.
The view from my kitchen window, The Nebit in the rain.
Waterfall in the Alva Glen Park.
Looking across at the Wallace Monument.
Wood hill wood, and the Silver Glen.
If the Armada ever comes back we're ready for them.
Looking up the Upper Alva Glen.
Looking down on the Nebit from half way up Ben Ever.
Ben Cleuch in the mist.
Approaching Mill Glen from The Law.
The start of the walkway in Mill Glen.
There used to be concrete steeps here but a landslide three years ago destroyed them so they've now replaced them with wood ones.
The clock mill in Tillicoultry.
Wood hill wood.
There's a silver mine in silver glen, the owner built a huge mansion, Alva House, that was demolished in the 40's but the stables still stands. I think his Lordship's horses were better accommodated than many of his tenants. Alas, the mine was worked long ago.
