NW England

Just an easy walk today through a Levens Park and then following the track of a disused canal before returning on a riverside path.

That was a strange little walk, Dave, almost like a 'ghost canal' walk.  Bridges going nowhere, crossing nothing.

It was really like a journey through time.

Thanks  ;)

There is a group of enthusiasts that are trying to get the northern reaches of the canal reopened. Ulimately there plans are to link it to Windermere. Wouldn't hold your breath waiting though.
