With a fine forecast prediction yesterday I returned to the western Mournes to climb Pigeon, Slievemageogh and Slievemoughanmore. Starting from Deers Meadow, I followed the Mourne wall to Pigeon, which offers great views of Spelga Dam. Thereafter I headed cross country to Slievemageogh; fine views were to be had of the eastern Mournes. My third mountain of the day was Slievemoughanmore; this was my favourite mountain on the walk. Following the wall back to Pigeon, I made the short descent back to the car park. Total distance was around 10km.
