I think someone started a thread on this before.  Looks like an interesting walk and is one of the 'challenges' that Steve Perry planned to complete on his 10 in 10 days adventure (which got postponed by a car accident).  Apparently it should be started at night (in line with the coffin run theme).   Anyone that completes it gets a single coffin badge, but some hardcore ultra marathon dudes complete it both ways in 24 hours and get the uber double coffin, which I imagine is a rarity.

If you haven't seen this, go here

I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing

This walk is a bit of a local legend around here (East Yorks) .. I know a few people who have completed it.

I was chatting to my Step-dad recently about it, he completed the walk before it was popular, and he ferreted out his coffin badge for me, he stared at it whistfully for a bit .. remembering.  It's now a very popular route for charity walking and the scouts, something which has put some people off, as the amount of people it attracts undoubtedly has had an effect on the countryside.

My opinions on it are divided, I enjoy walking long distance, but where is the fun to be found in the pain?  :o
