A few from me from Mud Fest .

The invasion of the White Peak starts in Thorpe Village .

And we're straight into it .(the mud that is  ;D O0  )

Mad Max and Fleegle in deep conversation .

The first climb of the day .

And Sioban loved every minute of it .

A quick break at the top of the col and we're off again .

Julie and Max doing the soft shoe shuffle on the muddy path .

Halfway halt . Ye old Royal Oak in Wetton .

Milldale . It was here that me, Max and his Julie split from the group and walked through Dovedale . Max and Julie wanted to take in Thorpe Cloud and my stomach cramps were getting worse every minute ,i just wanted the quickest way back to the car .

Dovedale

Thorpe Cloud .

Post walk drink and some magic tablets off Mrs Micky , my saviour  O0 .( thank you very much , you'll never know how much of a relief they were . O0  )

Here’s some photos from Micky's Mega Muddy Meet. I think this should become and ANNUAL EVENT!

Mickys Mega Meet Group meeting at the free car park next to the Dog and Partridge pub near Thorpe.

A few scenic shots.

The group descending the valley.

Mad Max, Ray and his dog Alfie, with the imposing Thorpe Cloud as the backdrop.

The impressive Thorpe Cloud.

Charlie running back. He must cover twice the distance on our walks! Lol

The group and Charlie ascending the Col at Bunster Hill.

Lynne enjoying the ascent…NOT!

More views of Thorpe Cloud.

First there was Holmes & Watson,  then Batman & Robin, and Starsky and Hutch, and now we have…MAX & HOWIE! A series in the making if ever there was one! Lol

The path at the side of Bunster Hill was a bit treacherous  due to slippy rock and a very muddy path. Lynne was close to turning back at this point but myself, Radder and Chris (Scarface) helped her to overcome it. Thanks guys!  O0

Max and his ‘me Julie’  :)

One of the locals. Happy as a pig in muck!

Noel’s leadenboot. Literally!

Looking down at Milldale from the ascent up to Newton Grange.

Lynne during the ascent from Milldale. She said this wasn’t so bad as it was gradual.

So a great meet and day was had. Thanks to Micky for suggesting  and organsing the meet and walk. It was the first time I’d walked up that side of Dovedale from Milldale so I enjoyed walking over ‘new’ ground. Lynne and Charlie both really enjoyed it too.

Myself and Lynne would also like to say a particular ‘thank you’ to Mark (Radder) and Chris (Scarface) for coming back and helping Lynne on the edge of Bunster Hill. She was genuinely frightened and appreciated your help, as did I.

It was lovely to catch up with everyone and meet some new faces, even if the numbers made it difficult to have a proper conversation.

The sunrise I enjoyed on my journey up, at Newchurch, on the A515 just south of Draycott in the Clay

The Dog and Pheasant, Thorpe

Apart from the dogs, which were wonderful walking companions, I think these pigs became became stars of the day.

And the paperazi.....    :D

Scarface in the stocks    ;D

Guess where the stocks were placed?     :o

Yes, the Old Police House....     ;D

Just keeping the hydration levels up...   O0

With this photo, I was just playing around with the camera settings....

This just doesn't bear thinking about, being under the sea. In the Mill Dale information Barn.

Thanks for a cracking meet Micky.  It was lovely to meet everyone.  The rain held off during the day, but me and Lynn fought our way through thick mist and snow storms on the way home, and at one point we had visibility of about 10 feet - scary :o ...got back ok though - phew!  ......And it was worth it, as it was such a brilliant day O0

Great photos  :)

Pleasure Steve and well done Lynne for gritting her teeth and getting across that slippy bit.

Some would say the best place for me is the stocks lol.

That was a nasty slip Paul good to meet you and hope you well.
