I would recommend “Whalley Warm & Dry” in Lancashire. I bought a pair of Altberg’s (Mallerstang) for winter use with crampons, I’ve had them a couple of years now and for a very stiff soled boot, they are extremely comfortable and never had wet feet. My only criticism is they are a tad heavy.
The fitting is free, but the overall cost isn’t cheap if you throw in the correct insoles and socks, plus care kit on top of expensive boots. But they are quality and the fitting is equally as impressive.
I think I under went about 20 different measurements in bare feet.
I’ve also been to a podiatrist before my boot fitting and although she was good, the same information plus a lot more was revealed by the boot fitting.
