Hi Walking Forum

Live in Bedfordshire and love my walking.
Never owned a car and most weekends am planning a walk or walking somewhere.
Anyway nice to meet you all.

Welcome from Portsmouth. I'm genuinely impressed that you don't own a car, I would love to get rid of mine but for the moment I'm stuck with it. I've always had a car since I was young but I've reached an age now where I know that I don't need one. I live in a flat city, I can travel by taxi, bus, train, cycle, walk or hitchhike, the habit is hard to break.

Welcome from Manchester  :)
All our backpacks are now by public transport, plenty of walks accessible.

Do it!. I totalled ours last year which made the decision for us, never looked back.

Welcome from the Sussex coast    :)   I'm carfree too and I like the flexibility public transport offers for linear walking
