Coming from US for a quick week or so on the path.  Hoping to go from Newquay on Sun to Penzance on Sunday or so.  Having a hard time finding campsites open this time of year.  Any suggestions or thoughts on some that are definitely open?

ukcampsite.co.uk is your friend - brilliant clickable map with an "Open all Year" filter.

Wild camping, though not actually legal, is perfectly possible along that stretch of coast; just pitch outside the fields on the open cliff top. Even doing it in August, by pitching latish and leaving earlyish I was never questioned.

Just checked and Trevaylor camp site is open - right next door to the Queen's Arms pub in Botallack - a hundred metres or so off the path.
