Yes, this was the subject of much discussion over lunch on Wild tor today.  If it is clear then I will be up for a glimps and a few snaps in the morning.

I'm interested, yes, but not interested enough to stay up late to see the start of it at 02:30, nor to get up early to see it complete at 05:00.

It's all going on due West, so I'll get a good view from my back garden, weather permitting.
If it's really clear and/or I'm awake enough, I'll head out to the harbour & watch it from there.
I always try to watch anything like this - seems wrong not to.

This is not just a blood moon, but also a wolf moon and a super moon. I’ll be up by 0500 anyway, so will look out for the moon, given that it will be a long time before the next full lunar eclipse in the UK 2029).

The skies were clear this morning, so we had a good view of the moon from our dining room window. The sky is pretty dark here and the blood moon and plenty of stars were visible.  It didn’t look very red, just a hint of colour. I could clearly see the moon coming out of the earth’s shadow, with a bright sliver appearing at one edge and gradually widening. I didn’t bother setting up my camera on a tripod with a long lens, so didn’t get any pictures.

Got up for 10 minutes to have a look. We were lucky enough to have a gin clear night here in Shetland - not the best metaphor I know but close to my heart. It was a lovely thing to see. I can understand why peoples in the past who lacked a scientific explanation invested such events with supernatural powers.

Woke up at 5 needing to visit the bathroom, lol.
Looked out of windows front and rear, saw no moon. All I could see was lights on tops of cranes. And a cat that wasn't ours disappearing out of the cat flap.
Might have helped if I had checked beforehand which direction I should have looked.

The joys of city life eh?  I had a good view through the branches of our birch tree then 10 mins later a mist formed and it disappeared -Nature’s way of telling me to go back to bed.

Forecast down here was thick cloud so didn't hold out much hope.
Woke up at 2am & the skies were crystal clear so set an alarm for 4:15.
Alarm woke me, went outside & a blanket of cloud covering the sky so could not see anything.

Weather Gods toying with me again! ???

Too awake to go back to bed so got on with some paperwork.
Went to the beach at 7:00 & got a decent sunrise as a consolation prize.
Glad some of you saw it.

Woke at 0500, sky clear, stars brilliant so took a look with binoculars - not very red. I've seen 'bloodier' lunar eclipses in past years.
So many paths yet to walk, so little time left
