My preferred walking shoe now is the Scott Kinabalu Supertrac and use them in all but deep snow- then a Brasher boot. I do run in the Scotts when they are coming of the end of their life after walking 500-700 miles. I do some 100-200miler walks and the right heel gets worn down but the uppers are fine. I do Shogoo,or similar, the heels. I don't run big miles these days and have some other running shoes as well- Saucony with some life in them.
