Title: A Walk For Every Month Of The Year
Post by: Jonathan1990 on 08:51:24, 31/01/18
Posting this idea in here as I would do a Yorkshire edition of this with 12 walks for each month of the year.

January - This would be a short winter walk such as round a town.
February - A walk suitable for a loved one for Valentines day.
March - A bit longer for this month as the evenings are getting lighter.
April - Spring flowers like the Farndale daffodil walk.
May - Probably a Yorkshire Wolds walk for this month.
June - Perfect month for a forest walk like Dalby.
July - A walk like the Robin Hoods Bay to Boggle Hole one with a mixture of land and sea.
August - The perfect month for a beach walk like Spurn Head.
September - This would be the month for walking a peak like Roseberry Topping.
October - Halloween themed walk such as the Whitby Dracula Trail.
November - This would be the month for a woodland Autumn type walk.
December - A Christmas walk where there are plenty of lights to see.

Did a google search and it seems I'm the first to come up with this suggestion but what would your ideas be with a walk for every month?

I like the idea of hiking every month, for me to count, that would be at least one and more nights in my tent, but my real walking year tends to start when the clocks change and I finish when they change again. In the dull period in between, except for the odd exception, I just do day hikes or stay in a YHA.
