More on my walk towards Mount Famine and South Head. Had to abort the attempt to the summit as bad cloud came in and paths were getting very muddy & slippy.

Great photos :)
Thanks I had a good time. Had 9 nights & one big fall down William Clough, where I placed too much faith & body weight on my walking pole grounding!
I would love to go again. Though, next time I'd stay more central to Edale, for walks such as Mam Tor, Ringing rodger and Ladybower Resevoir etc.
There is certainly unfinished Peak District business, if there ever is such a term!

Nice views there O0

Lovely pics! O0

As others have said, great photos.

Wonderful photos nesty O0 I like there are no people about (seemingly) looks like you got a peaceful visit :) I have unfinished business in the Peak District too, it is a stunning area, love the landscape, I have been to Hathersage twice, we will be returning to explore more of it.

Yeah, I think I timed my visit fairly well.
However, most of the photos were taken during the week. Certainly helped, as came the weekend, I really noticed more people about generally.
I do like the deserted and off beat places. Once I did Kinder scout, (where it was more crowded). I was off looking for more offbeat walks!

Brilliant photos! I've only ever approached the Kinder Plateau starting from around Edale but the Hayfield approach looks dramatic too. Maybe I'll try to stay in Hayfield on my next visit to this part of the PD. Thanks a lot for the pictures and info.

The accent up through William Clough to Kinder Scout (Sandy Heys) is pretty good. Can get a bit slippy if there has been heavy rain!
