I haven't done any serious walking in the Lake District (although plenty elsewhere), but I have been on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. I would recommend it if you haven't yet done so.
I enjoyed a brief visit to Helsinki on a school trip many years ago ... is it nice at this time of year?
Thank you for a nice recommendation, definately worth visiting! Finland is also worth visiting both in the winter and summer. This winter has been extremely warm with no snow in the southern Finland like Helsinki whereas in Lapland, there is so much snow. A winter without snow means that you only have a few hours daylight, if any
