Bradfield jogged a memory - then I remembered the walks we did when I used to go across to Sheffield to see my wife to be, many years ago. A nice area, on the edge of the moors. The area NW of Sheffield has a lot to offer, and is easily accessible.


Strange how a name can trigger a flood of memories - people sailing on the reservoir, a cristate thistle, wild raspberries and bilberries on the Bradfield Moors road, Wharncliffe Woods....
