Great write up and photos as always Dave you were lucky with the weather as it's been mostly crap here
I love that end of the Carneddau especially this time of year but I almost broke my ankle near the top of Moel Wnion once I had to hobble back to Aber village

Smashing report, Dave, I read the full version on your blog, thanks for posting it.
I haven't walked there for many years, so it brought back some good memories.

Excellent, Dave, thank you :)

I did the first part of that walk - up the Aber Falls to Cwm yr Afon Goch and up Llwytmor - a few weeks ago.

Very informative and interesting blog Dave plus some really good images, especially of the clouds. O0  Looked like a tricky walk with opportunities to get lost or fall over  ;D
Thanks for sharing.

Great pictures and a wonderful area, though you've not sold that route up Llwytmor!

Enjoyed that and reminded me of a walk I did a few years ago but started with the Beras going round to drum and the ridge above the Afon anafon. Like you had was great weather. A great quiet area.  O0

Interesting read on your blog, and I like the inclusion of a few photos here to lead into the blog. Third picture down showing the north end of the Menai Straights brought back a memory of hearing Idris Evans describe the start of the cattle droves down to London in medieval times. The Anglesea cattle were driven across there at low water before starting the cross country drovers route to feed the population of London.
