Title: Danny Macaskill on the Cullins in Skye AMAZING
Post by: Dyffryn Ardudwy on 15:20:56, 24/09/17
Has anyone checked out the epic Cullin's bike ride, with Danny Macaskill.
Its called "Danny Macaskill The Ridge"
Great skill and a bit of courage are what's required.

Amazed no one has replied to this even though they're all walkers!
How can you not be impressed by that? 'I'm surprised he can sit down with balls that big!' (famous Rob Warner quote).

As a fellow biker it still astounds me how much talent, skill and lack of fear Danny must have especially climbing that pinnacle with few holds carrying a bike, and blasting along that crest where a badly-placed wheel would mean probable death.

If you haven't seen it yet...you really should.

There was a tv programme about 3 years ago showing both the video and how it was made.  It has some amazing footage, and it was an astonishing achievement, but it did show that he only did parts of the ridge.  Even so, watching him carry his bike up there without even a rope.....

Takes amazing balance and eye coordination, to even contemplate such cycling adventures.
Any bad decision or poor landing, could easily cost him dearly, even his life.
No wonder he has a multi million following from around the World, he makes exceptionally hard and technical moves look so easy.
