Lantern Pike, Harry Hut and Mill Hill
« on: 17:55:04, 19/10/17 »
Evening everyone  :)

It's been a real stinker of a day here today - low cloud, rain and so dark I had to put the light on at 3pm... So I thought I'd divert myself from the awful weather outside by writing up a walk I did this summer from Hayfield. Until I got to the last section it was all new territory for me and it turned out to be great walking. I'm looking forward to returning when the frost (and hopefully snow) arrives in a month or so, if not before.

Here's a few pics from the TR:

As always, there are more pictures and a full trip report at the blog:

Thanks. A good way to spend a grey dark afternoon. Brightened up mine reading it.
These boots are made for walking.... so long as the rest of my body agrees

Enjoyed the TR and photos adalard    :)    It's lovely seeing the wild flowers in the meadows
And with so much wet, murky weather this autumn it's nice to look back on summer walks    :)

Great blog and photos Adalard.

Haven't got to Hayfield yet - but I've pencilled in a few walks from there for next year when hopefully I'll be clear of present minor injuries.

I'm glad the photos worked, Lostme1 & Dovegirl. It brightened up my day selecting the pictures for the blog too.  :)

Sorry to hear about the injuries, Penygadair - hope they're sorted soon. I've been looking into a few more non-Kinder walks from Hayfield too.

Thanks again, all.  :)

I read this last night but got logged out before I could return to the forum to reply!

Great report and lovely pictures.  I felt like I was doing the walk as I read it.  It's great to re-live a good walk with a write up. Thank you for posting  :)
