Yes, seems the timing point is where I thought it was  O0
Looking at Pav's tracker he didn't go anywhere near the Hotel, main road, he didn't even go across the stream until he got near to Forest View.  His tracker time seems to indicate, as would this couple, that the time is taken by the buildings just this side of ford leading into Byrness.  No doubt Joyce and Colin can put us straight when they have a bit of time to themselves.

Jens Wackerhagen a guy that I know from previous Spines is showing as retired at Hut 2. If that is correct, he surely will require assistance to get down to KY as there is still 20 hours left.
Wow he must really be in a bad way that a long rest wouldn't enable him to continue, so near yet so far.  Very sorry for him.

Yes theres some confusion at to where the timing point actually is. All we were told as per documents is that it is at Byrness, so assumed it was the monitoring station at forest view, as that is what it stated in the docs.
Something else, some are saying that they may be given extra time as they were taken off the route and taken back to middleton due to the weather and have had to do that part of the route again??

Were saying at the time that it didn't seem to be fair.

Back to the Byrness check point.  Andy's tracker shows that he past the "ford" marker at 11.53.08, Sandra's tracker shows she finished at Byrness at 11.53.06!

Latest on those only just making or missing the cut off at Byrness, inc  three still still en route.  They have been given a four hour credit due to being taken back to Middleton. Remains to be seen if that extended their cut off at Byrness or was to be deducted from finishing time??

Time is one thing but they had to walk about another 8 miles again. I have only checked Hendra Wijaya one of those due into Byrness before too long, he was one that had to re-walk to Forest-in-Teesdale.

The Norman's, who have just started up Byrness Hill, also had to re-walk from Middleton - I bet they wish they were now 8 miles closer to KY.

Daphné Derouch is speeding up and catching Sarah Kirsty, she seems to have paced herself well and finishing strongly.

I think Joyce mentioned the other night that runners could only spend 30 minutes in FV so I presume that FV is the CP.

She is certainly giving it a go.Perhaps she will show killer instinct and attack on the final hill into KY. >:D

I think that she will catch her well before that.

But Daphne got a time penalty.  Did she serve it or is it added on at the end?

Sarah must be working hard at trying to keep ahead of Daphne as she’s now left her male companions behind.

Daphne has been handed another (i think) 3 hr penalty to be added to her time when she finishes so kirsty should steal 2nd place!! O0
Sorry meant to say sarah kirsty!!
