I think "quality mountain days" is the wrong term.It looks like someone is trying to jump onto the "in-term"
jargon bandwagon to attract a younger and trendier group of punters

They were usous this "in-term" at least a decade ago... So not jumping on any and wagons. Not sure what they next part of you statement means either. It's for people who want to go on and study to get their ML not go on a guided walk...

Quality mountain days is the correct term to use here, we've all had what can be described as junk miles going up the same peak via the same path several times, that's not a quality mountain day.

Today was a quality mountain day for me.  Out prepping a new route to lead our group on in December.  Tried several new paths off the edge of the moor, before heading back to some more familiar ground.  14 miles and 1100m, in 5 hours after work.  Loved every second. Now knackered. ;)

Its an unfortunate term. Its quite easy to confuse the term with "quality time",that nauseating term used originally by selfish yuppies as an excuse for not spending enough time with their kids.
In the past these type of demanding mountain days would be desribed as "hard" which is exactly what they are and exactly what you need to test someone who wants to be a leader.

I certainly had a 'Quality Mountain Day' with my family on Ben Hope on Thursday; ticked ALL of the boxes in the list, including adverse conditions may be encountered.

What a mountain!

Looks perfect.  Wish we had a few like that around these parts.
