Jaggers Clough to Kinder.
« on: 22:55:14, 30/01/19 »
It's been a while since I did this route to Kinder Scouts plateau but I'd like to take my walking group that way.

From memory the paths could have collapsed as they weren't great and it could easily be overgrown.

Has anyone done it recently?

These boots were made for walking so that's just what I'll do. After I've re-proofed them of course...

Hi Dazza,

I did Jaggers Clough towards the end of Summer last year with my group.  It was a bit tricky in places and overgrown with bracken here and there, but we all managed to get to the bottom with no problems.

Might be a bit of a nightmare atm though :-\

Hi Dazza, done Jaggers Clough a couple of times, but only during the summer months.
I last walked the route in descent with Snakehips and Robnolan last July.

There is a bit of scrambling required near the top, which is pretty rugged but very doable in mild weather. But could be tricky in snow and ice.

But yes, still has an established path for much of it, and the summer growth of thick bracken shouldn't be too much of a problem this time of year. O0
