I've decided the Peak District has the best / most ornate RoW signposts (referencing the Curbar, Froggat, etc signpost pic).  Much nicer than the boring wooden finger posts round here, that's for sure.

I love the Peak and Northern signs; some of them are far more ornate than the one I photographed at Grindleford...and I've photographed quite a few of them on my walks. Of course, they are also very informative, and accurate too - the arrows literally point in the exact direction where the footpath goes.

Instead of finger post try the name 'puckering cosh' which means pretty much the same, sounds much more exciting.
