Is Crib Goch the rather exposed ridge in Wales? Think i have heard about this, it supposed to be a bit of a squeky bum moment.

Do you have any pictures i would love to see them.

I have a few pictures of myself and some student colleagues from Coleg Harlech crawling along Crib Goch in 1994.  Unfortunately, they are hard copy as digital cameras weren't around in those days.  One day, I will scan them.

Crib Goch is a squeaky @ss moment!!!!  Did this last year.   Though you're needing a good weather day, unless your an experience  Hiker etc. etc. Plus it more exposed than Striding Edge on  Helvellyn.   Although both are rather exposed the ridge is much more narrow than that of Striding Edge but I wouldn't underestimate any of them.

Crib Goch last year!!!!! below.

peace and tranquillity in the countryside. clean your rubbish up after you  respect it.

clean it bin it

Ai'ya gill, Striding Edge can be abit scary i supose but i'd really love to do a ridge that has that tad more 'squeeky-bum' effect if you know what i mean..,Whats Sharp Edge like Gill?  theres a good few other quite intense ridges but i cant think of their names.  great photo by the way, you can see for miles .., O yeh gill do me a favour if you will and have a read of what ive said under the section Scotland on this site and thread SYHA and  let me know if theres anything you can tell me.   O0

Excellent fun with a mountain bike! I seem to remember that we took several over in the 80's. before the Crane bros did the 3000's and being peeved that they beat us to the lot.
Did it as a night trip several times whilst at college. Once in snow/sleet having left pub at kicking out time. Got back to Pen y Pass having done the horseshoe in time to be in lectures in Bangor

it's an outcrop of quartzite....as you approach you'd swear it was snow.
The stuff crops up (pardon the pun) all over the area.
