On Tuesday (20th July) I planned to walk up Snowdon with my wife. The route I had decided on was the Pyg Track for ascent and the return using the Miners Track.
The weather forecast had stated that the rain was moving in from the west and that Snowdonia would eventually be dull, but dry.
We set of from the very expensive car park at Pen-Y-Pass (£10 for the whole day!!!!). The rain started as we set off and was on and off for the whole of our walk. The views opened up as we climbed higher, however, it was that wet I could not be bothered getting my camera out.
Made the decision at the junction of the two paths to come down (lots of mst at the summit) - the rain was relentless!
I will have to do this again on another day... Al.
