Hi all, signed up yesterday and have already posted five or six times. This is the first site I have ever posted on, which tells you something about your fantastic community.
Bit about myself - always loved walking, paricularly hills. Last four years or so struggled with arthritis in right hip but could still manage to get up to about 10 miles in. (Thanks co codamol) Anyway had hip resurfacing done in December and am revitalised, it's been brilliant, have already managed a fifteen miler along the Wolds Way - Wintringham to Sherburn and back, including a wander around Wintringham. I would say to anyone suffering hip pain, get it checked out, if it is arthritis, push for an op, it will open up a whole new vista.
Enough about me for now, just to say thanks again for a brilliant site and thanks to the Walking Englishman, who also has a brilliant site, for sending me in this direction.
