Sounds like you made a good call, Lee.


I think people don't always realise how exposed Mam Tor and the Ridge are in bad weather. Perhaps that's because they're not that high relative to Castleton and Hope or because access is so easy from those villages and from the NT car park. I'm sure I remember reading about some bloke who needed to be rescued from Mam Tor a few years back, after having to cling to the trig for safety in high winds.
