If you are walking around the Exmouth area and can engineer a way to walk up the River Otter valley, it is worth it. Absolutely beautiful

and you could get lucky and see the beavers. This taken at 1900 in bright sunshine last Sunday
So many paths yet to walk, so little time left

Thank you - though would have been difficult to mess it up, even for me. It's lovely to have them back living wild after 400 years.

What a great picture, Jac! Love the rather supercilious expression on its face too!  :) O0

Lovely pic Jac.  You were lucky to see it,  let alone take a photo.

Awesome pic!!
Meanwhile, on a thread related matter, the man from the East Devon Council was strimming the Coastal Path by Berry Camp today and doing a super job.

Certainly did. One of my favourite walks - from the mouth of the Otter out along the cliffs to ladram Bay then Peak Hill, inland over Mutters Moor, down Passaford greenlane and back down alng the river Otter. Lots of lovely wildlife and the possibility of tea and cake at the Mill or a meal in the pub at Otterton on the way back.
It's a pity we didn't meet up when you stayed there on route.

Sorry, Ninthace. didn't mean to hijack your thread. good news that the path is being maintained. Incidentally there has been a cliff fall at Ladram Bay, just as you start up the hill from the caracan park. The path is open and fenced but somewhat narrower than it was.

What's more, when we complain about overgrown sections, local dogwalkers, etc., are complaining to the local council about over-zealous mowing. You can't win ;)
