« on: 21:43:43, 07/12/17 »
The first of two walks from Remembrance Day weekend. We did Great Gable on the Sunday, preceded by a warm up on Skiddaw

Nice pics Dave  O0 Shame about the clag on the tops but the shots you got on the descent when out of the clag must have made up for it  :)

First time for me aswell - very easy overall as the Cumbria Way is pretty gentle (you also get the head start from the car park!)

Thanks April - classic Skiddaw I suppose. Only ever been up there with cloud hanging around in some shape or form. Views from the main path are superb though, just a shame we lost the bright sunshine as well. Ullock Pike has similarly impressive views IMO, perhaps some of the best

Fantastic photos Dave, really liked the view from the Little Man :)  I can fully relate to what you're saying about the cloud and Skiddaw summit. I've wanted to climb this mountain for 7 years since my first Lakes trip in 2010 and my luck turned in August 2017 and to get a clear view from the summit I had to start the walk at 6.30am, reaching the summit at 9am. Here's some photos from the top:
