On the downhill stretches Peter my knobbly kneed gait has a very similar look to that of someone 'jogging'

Try the twin peaks variant - train from Settle to Dent station, walk back via Whernside, Hill Inn, Ingleborough and Crummack Dale. Just a mile or two further than the Y3P.
