Another great report Dazza.

It sure is a nice place, but I rarely go there - I like to be where people aren't.

Thanks for this report Dazza, Dove Dale and the surrounding area truely is a lovely place. But as you say it does get very busy, like Sunnydale I only go there in the week and when the kids are at school.

I didn't know about the lions head, although I can plainly see it in your picture. where about's is it in Dove Dale.

I've visited DD many times as I don't live very far away and I'm impressed at the way it's kept clean and litter free considering the number of visitors it gets.
Expect the best, prepare for the worst.

What a great trip report Dazza, thank you.   O0

As a nipper, the family walks used to only be on the flat amongst the crowds.
The high light of the walk ( for me ) was the stepping stones.
I never imagined that you could climb high and also go for a longer walk.

Thanks for sharing the contrast of the crowded and the quiet.

Great report and pics. Haven't been to Dovedale for probably 15 years. This brought back some memories  O0

Great pictures. Dovedale is a magical place at any time, but after a couple of visits and the swarming hordes, we always reserved it for winter weekdays on a long brisk walk starting very early: no people at all!.
