a problem during walking
« on: 15:32:59, 16/10/07 »
I have some worry about my health nowadays..( it is not serious, don't worry)

I usually walk because  my school is so big..

because I'm so busy nowadays I cannot exercise like weight training..

so my leg is very healthy because I always walk.. but my upper body is not good...

isn't there any way to exercise upper body during walking the street???
hi~ though I'm in Korea.. but I like walking so much
and want to be your friend

There's a chap who writes on here, Iron Grip, who walks while using a hand device to strengthen his grip.  Now I'm not sure, but I can't really think of any upper body exercise you could do while walking, save from intentionally carrying a heavy rucksack.

I have a funny image in my mind of someone hiking the Pennine Way while pumping weights.  :)

Climb trees? ;)

this moment may be brief
but it can be so bright

Hello and welcome  O0

You could try using walking poles and make your movements extra- big/wide as this may bring more off your upper torso into play, whilst toneing your pre-exisiting muscle groups.

Muscles need oxygen, so any extra force or movement, whilst your feeding them can help.

Wow that was straight for me  ???

:-\ Another suggestion maybe:- you know them body toner's you stick onto yourself connected to a battery that sends electric impulses to muscle parts you could try that whilst walking no bother i reckon, just a thought !!
'''get out there and experience as much as you can its beautiful and have yourself alotta fun doing it'''

Wear a weighted vest or backpack full of sand.

Sorry, bro, can't reveal my sources!

Let's just say .. If, when we meet, your face muscles keep twitching and your torso jerking, I'm walking in the opposite direction.  ;)

home pc having a funny one on me, and trying to prise my daughter's lap top away from her.......... :o nice to be missed though......... ;)

*warning quick anecdote*

while walking the pw i was doing this with a karate chum - our plan was to perform a "kata" on the top of each hill we climbed. yeah like that happened! i resorted to doing the odd spinning back kick over stiles and the odd strike/block when the poles were put away!  ;D

lol, good intentions, eh?  I can just imagine some bloke walking his dog seeing a mad woman do a spinning back kick over a stile, and muttering to himself: "Walking's not what it used to be .."  ;D
